Summary0022353: User page: Show all issues reported by user
Description

As it stands, the user page is hardly used for anything: It shows some information about the user such as their name and email address (which are hidden to most users in the default configuration), and for admins there are also the possibilities to manage and impersonate the user. So in essence, the page is pretty empty and useless for most people.

What I personally would expect to be present on the user page, but what is currently completely missing, is a link to all issues created by the user. If I want to access this information, I first have to set up a filter in the "view issues" page. Optimally, this filter could be set up by simply clicking a "Show issues reported by this user" button (or similar) on the user's page, which would then take me to the "view issues" page, showing all issues reported by this user.

This has been commented before.
As suggestions:

  • show one or several links to filters (like my view page does) with predefined filter. Consider what filter would be useful: assigned to, reported by, etc
  • show a timeline box with recent user activity. Timeline is feeded with a history search joined with a filter, maybe that can be used to show a specific timeline for this user, or create a specific history search for modifications made by user (this may be more optimal)

Consider also if that information must be restricted to be viewed only by some users, eg: >=developer. By using a threshold configuration.

Is it really necessary? A normal reporter user can already search for all issues by a single person, and they can also view a regular timeline. So all information provided by these links is already public and not sensitive.
