Summary0023392: Mantis LDAP Avatar plugin
Description

Hello,

Would you like to host this Mantis plugin into mantisbt-plugins?

Github URL : https://github.com/romaincabassot/MantisLdapAvatar

Name : LdapAvatar

Description : This plugin connects to the Mantis globally configured LDAP and cache the avatars retrieved from a configured LDAP attribute to a local storage path.
When the user's LDAP last modified attribute is modified, the avatar is retrieved again from LDAP.
If the avatar exceeds the configured maximum width or height, the avatar is resized.

I would suggest you rename the plugin to remove the Mantis prefix - it's redundant.

Other than that, no problem with hosting it in the mantisbt-plugins org.

Did you consider the possibility of retrieving the photo directly from LDAP instead of having a link to a local file ?

Ok for the name: https://github.com/romaincabassot/LdapAvatar

I could be done but I think that retrieving photos locally can help caching images and serve site fastly. Could you give me examples of when retrieving photos directly can be an advantage?

I don't have a specific example. At my previous company the LDAP (active directory actually) contained small jpeg photos of all employees, so I just thought it could be useful in such scenario. Just an idea...
