Re: MantisBT 2.0/2.1: Customizing Strings

Just stumbled on this issue. v2.8.0 and the doc still suggests the new format.

OK, so how does a prolific writer with book credits, former QA manager, current business owner, and eager MantisBT user prove his worth and get access to update the Admin Guide?

KUDOS and THANKS for an Excellent v2

I haven't done a full install / config / manage of MantisBT since v1. As I go through this now I'm VERY pleased with the new look in v2, the functionality, the docs, and all of the effort that's been put into this. Sincere thanks goes to everyone who contributes, including users who post questions a...

Issue/Question on Manage Columns screen

1) Why do we need to manually change the columns for the update page via config_inc. Why isn't this just another setting block on the Manage Columns screen? In fact, it seems like three such blocks are missing: $g_bug_report_page_fields $g_bug_update_page_fields $g_bug_change_status_page_fields 2) T...

Re: Enhancement: way to use regexp to parse project destinat

Yes, this works great. This is how i use it: there is a configured gmail account, eg: bugreport@xxx with said option, a new label (gmail approach for imap folders) is created for each project configure rules based on "to: address" using pattern "bugreport+projectalias@xxx", so i...

advice for upgrade 1.0.6 to 1.2.10?

I'm considering an upgrade from v1.0.6 to v1.2.6 and am wondering about the current "state of the art". Similar discussions on this are here and here but I don't think those threads have solid answers. I'd just like to understand what the very latest recommendation is for how to quickly an...

Re: Mantis+SMF integration

That was a long time ago and I'm having a problem finding links. This might have been what I was talking about: http://buytaert.net/cmis The CMIS initiative talks about "Content Management" software. Neither Mantis nor SMS fit the conventional definition of "CMS". However, if you...

Best Practice: One product, multiple platforms?

We have products that are ported to different platforms which may be out of sync with one another. Examples: ProductX for Outlook 2003 over Windows XP ProductX for Outlook 2007 over Windows XP ProductX for Outlook 2007 over Windows Vista ProductY for Linux ... ProductY for AIX ... Right now we're us...

Re: Mantis+SMF integration

There's a project somewhere that includes a consortium of leaders from open source projects, with a goal to make integration among many/all of these packages much less of a trauma. I think Mantis should be involved. Unless someone else can post a URL I'll try to find it. I run SMF, Mantis, Drupal, W...

Re: How can Administrator change user password from Mantis?

I just came back to this forum for this same topic. I can understand that some people might not want to work on this particular feature because they don't believe in its value. However, there are many sites that would want this feature. The question is more a matter of whether the package should sup...
