Re: How to cater for GDPR?
The GDPR allows for server logs to be kept for security and administration purposes. Our responsibility to end users is to advise them of exactly what data is being saved and why. It's the user's responsibility to decide if they want to continue using our services with the information we have provid...

Shaking my head in shame. I should have considered that one. Thanks.

Re: FAQs on Changing UI Text
Wow. I think a plugin might be too ambitious for this one. I'll come back to the idea that it might be best if we have a FAQ for updating the UI as it is. I'd hate to have to wait another 14 years for the discussion in that ticket to progress about changing the existing mechanisms. ;) Unfortunately ...

Plugin to report on sent emails?
Before I write something new, I'm checking to see if this already exists. I'm sometimes not sure if an email is sent to a user based on current details. We need to keep email logging on at all times ( LOG_EMAIL_RECIPIENT ) so that I can check the log to see what was queued. The log data is available...

Re: FAQs on Changing UI Text
Isn't this the concept of Mantis custom functions? Yes it is but I'm suggesting more extensive usage of that concept with a focus on the UI. As per the example in my last note, custom functions are not currently used in the core for the UI - the UI is hard-coded in-line. That's certainly not a prob...

Re: Customize Issue Fields
I could not find an enhancement request in the MantisBT tracker to add $g_bug_report_page_fields settings into the Manage Columns page. Given all of the requests in this forum for customization of pages I would expect that to be an exiting and popular issue item. Is there a reason why this hasn't be...

Re: Project Subproject Category Tag
I personally see a difference between Task management and Issue management. I track Mantis issues (bugs) using task management software. There are many task management packages available. The one you choose may depend on your desire for thick or thin client, mobile access, off-line access, security,...

Re: Auto Create Simple Ticket?
My first thought would be to have those simple requests in HTML pages or some other UI that you create, and submit requests to a back-end. From there you have options, like creating emails for processing by the EmailReporting plugin, or making an API call via REST or SOAP. Info about API: https://ww...

Re: FAQs on Changing UI Text
What I mean is starr gekoppelt. So much of the UI seems to be in the core that site-specific customizations seem to be difficult without changing core code. Just look at the cited PR 272 to see all of the hard-coded UI details. That's not unusual, but it leads to lots of forum questions about how to...

Re: New notification list on my_view_page
Check config_inc.php. This is my View setting, notice that I've added status "testing". $g_my_view_boxes = array ( 'new' => '1', 'feedback' => '2', 'verify' => '3', 'in_progress' => '4', 'testing' => '5', 'assigned' => '6', 'unassigned' => '7', 'monitored' => '8', 'reported' => '9', 'recen...

@Ryu, Please start a new thread on this topic...
In your new thread, please tell us: Do you mean you Do want to use IDs in the CSV, or that you do Not want IDs from the CSV.
See this other thread about numbering. You might need to use a similar solution.

Re: Import function of CSV file
If you can upgrade to v1.2, consider this plugin.
You should be able to use the same plugin, different branch, for v2, which is highly recommended.
[EDIT] Ahh, I see you found the plugin with your post here.

Re: FAQs on Changing UI Text
OK, I'll look into this as a learning project. I might even document the process in a blog and then link to that from the wiki. The v2 UI is significantly different from v1. I'm surprised the UI was implemented in such a rigid fashion. Is there any documentation, maybe a set of discussions/exchanges...
