Re: intergrating SSO with mantis bug traker

I haven't looked at it yet but this topic interests me too.
SSO would be helpful purely for authentication, but care needs to be used when it comes to permissions, project relationships, etc.
I can't comment on the plugins you referenced, just no time, but will certainly look sometime later.

Re: How can I use api rest?

As a student, here is a pattern you should learn to follow with all FOSS: - Find, bookmark, and read existing documentation. - Search forums for key terms for things that require clarification. - Post notes to the forum about specifics which are not documented. - Look at other resources including wi...

I suggest you start a new thread with that specific curl/csv issue and leave this one for Jira-specific details.

Browser session cross-over

Open a browser, set a project, start entering a new issue. Now open another tab to the tracker in the same browser session. Set a different project and go to view issues. Now switch back to the original tab and submit the issue. It goes into the most recently opened project. I understand how browser...

Re: data maintained but going for higher version interface

I'm confused on what part of this you're giving up on. Can't get v2.0 installed on your existing OS? Why not virtualize? Can't get current mySQL in your existing OS? Why not virtualize? Why not just host the whole thing in a cloud system for about $6/month or less? Or is there some issue with specif...

Can't unprotect original administrator user

On a new installation of 2.8.0 over Linux, I added a new user, and gave it admin privs. Then I logged out of the initial administrator user. Back into the new admin user, I set administrator as protected and disabled. Forgetting that I wanted to change the email and password Too, just in case, I tri...

I dunno if we're facing the same issues, but I've written the following notes for myself when setting up a site: Change SELinux security context on folder or file for use with Apache: chcon -R -v -t httpd_sys_rw_content_t the_name Files need to be accessible to Apache: chgrp apache index.htm chgrp -...

Re: Hide fields and fields order

Not possible by changing configuration options. You would have to change source of Mantis or write a plugin that uses JavaScript to rearrange the page. That reminds me that there is a FireFox add-on called stylish for user-side re-skinnnng of websites. For internal sites that might be easier to use...

Re: Measuring Time From Created To Resolved

I could be wrong but I don't think Last Update is a valid metric for assessing the task time. I believe someone can post a note to a closed task or make some other change which would change your result. It might be best to use a plugin which saves the timestamp when an issue goes to status Closed, a...

Re: Hyperlinks as 123:456

Correction+Update: Now I understand what @atrol meant by It's ~456 for example If we use just #number, we get a ticket reference. If we use just ~number, the link that is created is "ticket:note". I thought we needed to specify both #ticket and ~note, which of course is a bit redundant. Fo...

Re: General plugin question: replacing core files?

While perhaps not important, you're setting MantisCore to a minimum of 2.5.1. That's a very specific version. I have no idea if this area where you're working has been changed in recent releases, but if you're not running v2.8 or v2.9 then I suggest you get the latest version. Otherwise you could be...
