Mantis web docs need updating for new versions

Post by mushu »

https://www.mantisbt.org/manual/admin.c ... tatus.html had me frustrated for hours trying to create new status codes. Until I figured out that Mantis from v1.2 to v1.3 moved all configuration files to a config directory. The documentation everywhere says to create "custom_..." files in "the MAIN program directory" and needs to be updated to say something like "versions prior to 1.3 need "custom_..." files in the main program directory, from version 1.3 on need the "custom_..." files to be created in the config directory." I know, I know...open source...heh.

NVM I found the updated docs for v1.3 while reading another post. Sigh.

Why don't you use the documentation that is delivered with the product, or the documentation you see when following the links on our web page?
e.g. goto http://www.mantisbt.org/documentation.php and click "Browse Docs"
Let me know if there is some old link on http://www.mantisbt.org which needs update?

What do you want to say with this?
There is good and bad open source, there is good and bad closed source.
