Negative search in filters

Given a project called "Customer Service", that has ten issue Categories defined including one called "Training", how to set the filters to view the all the issues except "Training"?

I don't think there is an option for this. I searched the documentation, the bug tracker, and this forum. I found some information, such as "negation" in the text entry field of View Issues, but nothing precisely this case.

Has anyone considered or dealt with this?

yes, found similar issue in the past. Needed for reporting. I just downloaded an Excel and removed that category :mrgreen:

what about "advanced filters"?
in Categories select all except "Training" and click apply filter and then save

it sounds that the filter has been applied, then the results (viewing issues) can not be recalculated via selection.

Advanced filters... I had not noticed that. I will give it a try.
